Resources to Empower Leaders

This book examines the dimensions of leadership and characteristics of four historical kings, Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, Darius, and Cyrus, and the correlation between their historical realities and present-day leadership challenges. The nations of the world are still dealing with the types of leaders these four kings represent and the spiritual realities associated with them. The author raises difficult leadership questions and simultaneously empowers aspiring, current, and mentoring leaders to examine, and where needful, change their leadership approaches. This book illuminates both the physical and spiritual realities at play in governing a nation and helps the reader to understand that political governance and leadership at the highest levels have their own spiritual interface, reality, realm, and implications.

For each of the four kings, this book addresses their backgrounds, achievements, leadership characteristics, and industries or sectors they most impacted. Anyone who aspires to lead, currently leads, or trains leaders of nations, institutions, and organizations of any kind will benefit from this book.

Too many leaders fall because they fail to manage their personal lives as well as they manage a microphone or message. They fail to confront the issues that confront them behind closed doors. Every ministry leader’s bloodline molds them: they emerge from a past emotional, mental, and relational context that affects their leadership development. Without preventative aid, deep-seated issues rear their ugly head at the worst moments, leading to scandal, broken families, scattered flocks, and broken leaders. The author seeks to bring restoration to broken ministry leaders that have fallen by the wayside to unresolved issues and to prevent others from ever falling at all. There’s hope for restoration and wisdom from the development of King David to deal with issues before they deal with you. This book facilitates introspection and provides a platform for God to heal anything in your life that is a hindrance now—before it costs you something far more precious.
