James R. Nelson was born in Houston, TX to the parents of James Gentry (deceased) and Linda Nelson along with his three brothers. James has always been devoted to coaching, training, and developing individuals at all levels to achieve both personal and professional transformation. He has led teams in a wide range of business sectors including Telecommunications, Cyber-Security, Sales, Utilities and Energy. He is passionate about mentoring and developing effective leaders, guiding winning teams, and implementing strategies that make a difference. James has been a mentor to many individuals over the years and when asked what his greatest accomplishment(s) have been, he consistently states, “Seeing those that he has mentored and coached winning.”

James was awarded a BA degree in Marketing from Midwestern State University. He is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
